About Headpointe
The Outdoors Is for Everyone
Headpointe was born from a simple but powerful belief: the outdoors belongs to all of us. Nestled in Entiat, WA — right along the Entiat River — we're a Black-owned outdoor gear business built on the conviction that nature doesn't discriminate, and neither should access to it.
Too often, the outdoor industry has felt like it was built for a narrow slice of the population. We started Headpointe to change that — to create a space where BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) hikers, campers, and adventurers feel seen, welcomed, and equipped to explore.
Our Mission
"The outdoors is for Everyone. Shop with a conscience when you buy your outdoor hiking and camping gear."
Every purchase at Headpointe is a vote for a more equitable outdoor community. We intentionally support BIPOC-owned outdoor brands and stores, because we know that representation matters — in the gear you carry and in the businesses you support.
We're proud members of the Washington State Lived Experience Coalition, and our commitment to equity extends beyond our shelves. Through our blog, we explore topics like outdoor access, community activism, and the stories of people reclaiming wild spaces as their own.
Why It Matters
Hiking trails, campgrounds, and mountain summits have historically been spaces where BIPOC communities have faced barriers — from lack of representation to outright exclusion. Headpointe exists to dismantle those barriers, one piece of gear at a time. When you shop with us, you're not just buying a backpack or a tent. You're investing in a movement that says: you belong out here.

Our Mission
Empowering African Americans and other ethnicities to embrace the great outdoors and provide safe, sustainable, durable outdoor gear and camping accessories.
Our Vision
Our mission is to inspire and equip our customers to explore the great outdoors without apprehension and confidence because we believe the outdoors is for everyone.
Our Philosophy
HeadPointe believes in the philosophy that the greatness of a nation is measured by how it treats its most vulnerable citizens. Our focus on social justice guides our partnerships with brands and manufacturers who have ties to community social service organizations. One of our taglines is 'Shop with a Conscience.' We wouldn't ask our customers to do that without expecting our partners to manufacture their apparel with a conscience.
